I've made my own sleds like this from parts available at Radio Shack.

The price on this one is very good. Probably not worth making your own at that price if you need something like that.

Interesting......uses rechargeables, only.  Alkalines make it too      :veryevil:  hot.

NiMH are 1.2v x 4 = 4.8v DC

Alkaline are 1.5v x 4 = 6v DC

The sled came in and works fine. I put regular old AA's in it last night and got very good results with MT2.

I almost always leave it plugged into the MTII.  Never tested its longevity.
