repurposed car subs
« on: April 24, 2011, 11:10:29 AM »
So I've got a couple of JL Audio 12" W2 subs sitting in storage....their fair market value is probably about $60 each.  Boo.

Has anyone ever built their own subs?  The likelihood of me building my own is probably about as good as the Cubs taking the Series this year, but thought I'd throw that out there to see what the thoughts on it were.

Thanks!

Subs are the easiest speakers to build.  Google a volume calculator, one of those will tell you how big for your cone size you will need to get to a certain FQ.  Honestly google build your own sub, tons of info on that subject.   Also keep in mind that car audio and home audio aren't very different when talking sub-woofers.
