CORRECTION: Sale is for today only!  i got a couple, the lady at the store said the AAs perform just under duracell.  if its true, then they will be good enough for me for 1/2 price.

I would never use anything but rechargeables so I don't need to worry about when to toss out the batteries in my equipment.

IMO, these are the best rechargeable for the money:

Low self discharge rechargeables are the best. They don't need to be charged before every show and they seem to last a lot longer before needing to be replaced than regular rechargeables.

Second the recommendation for LSD low self discharge rechargeable batteries but I use the well known Sanyo Eneloop's.

Eneloops are good too. I started with those.

But the Imedions are well known to tapers also, and reports are that they are just as reliable (they have been for me).

Plus they are 2400 mAh instead of 2000 for the same price.

Eneloop now makes a 2500 mAH LSD battery, but they cost considerably more than the 2400 mAH Imedions. When I first saw them they cost twice as much, now maybe 50% more. If the price ever gets fairly close I'd consider giving them a shot when I need more LSD batteries.
