Anybody familiar with AudioGD stereo equipment.

In one other forum I have been reading  HeadFI they seem to have a good reputation.  They sell some interesting stuff.  Just wondering if anyone here uses their stuff.   Peace OOK

I'd worry about service and warranty.
Their prices aren't so low that I'd give up the comforting feeling that they'll be supported as well as Grace or Benchmark.
Cambridge, Music Hall, Music Fidelity also spring to mind...   I need coffee to think of more     ;D

Investments in Hi-Res audio equipment isn't far from that of buying a scientific instrument.

I have been the owner of the Audio GD FUN (headphone AMP, DAC) for several years now. I love the thing. Great build quality. I even ordered the updated USB (16/48 up to 24/96) chip from them after a few years of owning the AMP/DAC. They were quick to respond via e-mail and ship. Their English isn't the greatest but I have never had an issue with the unit. The one I bought was designed to mix and mach chips etc so the components are easily swapped out by the end user. They seem to do this with a number of their units.

It has been rock solid since I bought it. I use it daily. They were the only folks at the time offering a USB DAC in an "affordable" price point. Like you I saw the good reviews at headfi and decided to take the risk. Very happy with the purchase. I have no idea what they would be like if something were to go wrong but my experience was very positive.

Thanks man for your reply.  Looking at their stuff they have some really cool pieces of gear.  I was thinking about taking the plunge on a head amp/dac/pre, similar to the Fun.

Ill admit i was very wary at first sending $ to china etc but i think i did it through paypal so i figured i had some way to try to get my money back. i never really considered the repair aspect like the above poster so that was probably dumb on my part. I would definitely go Grace etc if I had the disposal $$. I loved my V3 but at the time i bought the FUN was out of my price point. I aslo had most of the functionality that the FUN was offering from my PC setup. The FUN in addition to the logictech touch i feed it with replaced all of that clutter. So it was essentially a sideways move. But I have loved the thing. I find I am doing a lot more listening in the cans these days as it is a lot easier on GF :)

***WARNING*** There is no way this unit could be UL Listed for use in the US!!!  From this photo of it the unit has diodes and a resistor connecting the AC ground lug on the IEC connector to the chassis.  This is not legal, the UL prohibits the practice so it would be hard to believe they got it approved, the NEC does not allow anything in the safety ground path either.  Best to steer clear of Audio Gd these are definitely ONE HUNG LO type products that are not safe.
