SLA for 'audiophile' DAC power supply?

for 12VDC DACs seems that plain old resistive power would work great. keep it on a float charger and switch off charger while playing. are there any other electronics that would help filter noise out of a setup like this? or maybe some large capacitors to smooth out the voltage?
