hi all,
just noticed this small glitch in my recording and I have no idea where it came from

this is the recording chain: Schoeps MK4 > Nbob v2 cables > Tinybox 2.5 with MID gain and 54v > Tascam DR2D Line-IN  (levels where about -9 to -6 on the recorder)

https://mega.nz/#!0vpzwKiS!MjjceRaKZCN1PFUoDy6zSPwlNuvEc20XfbvjwVMnhH4

SD card was almost new (4-5 shows) and formatted right before the show. Kingston SDCH Class 10

thanks for any opinion

Sample is too short to properly assess, but I hear no discernible glitch and nothing obviously wrong.
With respect to style, some may consider the singer's little scream-o vocalization a "singing glitch" I suppose.

Strange Glitch is the band's name you fool. They specialize in micro-shows...this file is 2 full sets.

well you're right, here's a more noticeable glitch I just found in another song > the double "bang" occuring at 2.5 seconds into the sample is not any sound coming from the PA and it can be seen quite well in spectral view (attached too)

Ha!  With The Millisecondmen as opening act no doubt.

MLKLuke-
Visual indication looks like it could possibly be a brief severe clip overload (which could produce spectral harmonics which extend high in frequency),
or a digital file writing glitch in which case I'd suspect the SD card, even though nothing you mention about the card seems problematic.

I'd probably guess that's maybe what happened ??? What cables were you using going from the Tinybox>DR2D?

If a new card and this starts to occur I'd be a little suspicious of the card...  Where'd you get it?  There are fakes out there...  I stick to Sandisk from retailers who will be in a legit distribution chain.  I had a Kingston or two and don't think I had problems with them at the time.

cable: stereo cable made by darktrain out of former AT853 microphone cable, techflexed and with neutrik 3,5mm right angled connectors

SD: Kingston SDHC Class 10 bouth from Amazon. Just made 4-5 shows before this one

strange thing is that the issue appeared only in the last 30 minutes of the recording and no issues of this kind on the MIC-IN track that I was recording on the same DR2D and same SD Card. maybe a loose cable for the last minutes (don't remember if I moved more than usual but possible) or maybe tinybox clipped (had to set it to MEDIUM gain because DR2D Line-IN has a very low gain). same cable did not give any issue the day after when I recorded with a Roland R05 from tinybox

Doesn't sound like clipping to me. Could be something as simple as some dust in the jack getting moved around a bit.

Easy enough to clean the connections well with denatured alcohol, contact clearer, Caig, or whatever - always a good first place to start in the trouble shooting - and IME often the culprit even when other issues are suspected.
