for archiving, I have found it useful to archive the master FLAC (no track marks), along with a cue sheet from cdWave. I usually archive all the masters on my HDD each week/month/whenever I have 4.7 gigs of uncut FLACs. On a seperate DVD, I archive the same show, but with setlists, pictures from the show, and all that sort of information. Then I burn audio copies and flac copies onto CD for distribution, and upload the show to a digital archive (archive.org or bluegrassbox.com).
By the end, I usually have dozens of copies floating around the country or world, and if on the off chance you lose your archive of masters (i put mine in a fire-proof safe), you can always get a copy from someone out there.
