IF they release firmware upgrades to:

[1] support WAV recording
[2] provide level meters (since there's field-usable digi-in I can see)

Then...absolutely.

Interesting.  Virtually no mention of the specs on the audio section... Does it suck so bad they can't mention it?

I didn't see anything about a digi-in...  Seems like you can get the same functionality out of devices already out. ;)

what is this?

USB Host (DSC/Card Readers)

does this mean it can accept and record a USB signal on the fly?

Also, it has the 5V DC we all love so much.

I believe it means you can upload your pictures from a memory card directly to the device without a reader.

And BTW, you'll probably never find a device that will connect to a pre or a/d over USB and be able to record the audio without a computer.  It would have to be made specifically for that purpose (drivers and OS would need to be written) and there is just no market for that...

I used to program Basic (arghhh !) and assembler on the Vic20 and had a few cartridge games, Gorf was my favorite, sort of Space Invaders rip-off. 1979 was the last time that I played a video game, and Gorf was it.  :D

I have pong in the attic. Not the collectable original, the four-game-pack later version.
It's physically huge.
