Toslink to Mini right angle cable (not adapter)
« on: August 01, 2004, 05:50:09 PM »
Does anyone know where I can find an Optical cable with mini right angle to toslink right angle.  I don't want adapters rather a single piece from end to end.

If that isn't available other possible alternatives would be:

Optical cable with right angle mini to toslink
Optical cable with mini to right angle toslink

Optical cable with mini to toslink
Edit: found a partial answer to my question.  Monster makes a mini to toslink cable
http://www.monstercable.com/productPage.asp?pin=790

I've searched and so far have only found adapters.

Thanks,
Joe

Just curious, but why no adapters?

Just curious, but why no adapters?

Basically I'm just trying to eliminate the number of pieces of gear.  I want the rig as simple as possible, fewer pieces to fail.  My V3 is currently a Grace design having the optical mod installed.  I would like to be able to go right angle toslink out of the V3 to right angle mini into the JB3.

I'll go with adapters if I need to but ideally i would like a single cable.  The optical connectors actually do a good job of locking together and I could use heat shrink to secure the connection.

I forgot to mention that I would also like the cable to be shorter than most of whats out there.  I have the JB3 secured to the top of the V3 so after the optical mod the distance between the V3 out and the JB3 in will only be about 6"

Well I guess they do.  I've looked there before and didn't see one.  Now if only it were shorter.

I don't recommend the Gougeprofessionals.  They are too expensive for right angle toslinks,  Check out this guy on eBay.  I bought 3 of them for a total of $9.00, which included shipping.  They are just as good as Gougeprofessionals' right angles.

If that link doesn't work, search for the eBay ID electronics-exchange.com and check out his current listing.  I have used his right angles already and absolutely no issues.  That's my 2 cents.

I have one those soundpro cables & it looks exactly like the one on ebay.

Cheap shipping as well. I may order one for the hell of it.
