YOU WERE TAPING!" *look innocent, realize I get busted, then sigh* Yes. *meanwhile flipping a blank into my dat and shoving the taped copy into my pouch near my ass* *soundguy comes closer and hands me a card* ... "can i get a copy?"

Just got back from a show. The two seats to the left and right of me were empty. Crowds been quiet so far and then these young drunks come by and plop down for some closer seats. This dude introduces himself saying "Hey, I'm Wess and I'm loud and obnoxious. I'm going to go nuts and get you crazy as well"   Well, I told him I was the quiet type and preferred to be left alone and to enjoy the show. He drank some more and was actually pretty quiet during most of the show. Whew. Then there was this one girl behind me asking me to sit down. At a rock show? You got to be kidding me, especially since there were plenty of seats around and she could've shuffled her lazy ass a couple of seats over for a clear view. I just gave her a wierd look.

Stealthing certainly isn't as fun especally getting through the gate but still worth it. Better than nothing.

something similar happened to me. i was filming an outdoor free show.  standing up neaer the back.  someone behind me taps me on the should and tells me to sit down.  they had dobermans.  i had to comply.

OT:  Yeah, nothing is worse than worrying about a fan ratting you out or worse, the band noticing your stealthing.  I caught BOC at BB King's last year and at the end of the show the bassist and singer we're chatting on stage and staring at me...i got the hell outta there in a heart beat.
