Denon 2200 Issues
« on: September 06, 2004, 11:44:09 PM »
Anyone else with a 2200 experienced trouble playing a DVD-R Audio disc for over 75-90+ consecutive minutes?

I recently bought a 2200, and I haven't had any trouble.  I've listened to several full shows at 24/48 straight through (somewhere between 2.5 and 3 hours per show).  I am going digital out to my DAC.  These are DVD-Audio discs burned with discwelder bronze.

I'm not sure what the problem is.  All of my discs are Mitsui Silvers burned with DiscWelder Steel.  Having a hard time getting a response from Denon.

What brand of discs are you guys using?  My 200+ discs are all Mitusi Silvers.

Still no solution...

Never had any problems with Professional discs.  I have had probs with burned ones, too.

CAD,

No problems with commercially released albums, but they are an hour or less in length.  I have never been able to listen to a burned DVD-A disc for more than 1:30.

I let a Charles Mingus SACD repeat a couple of times (2:50 total) and never had problems.

Listening to moe.down 5 now.  The disc is 94.5% full (w/9.3 & 9.4 on there).  Has played for 1:34:XX...still rolling.

not at 24.  although the original recording was done at 24/48.  tried to round up the 24's...went ahead with the resampled flacs.

moe.down's hanging in there on my denon 2200.  now at 1:50:xx.

i didn't label the disc.  i've wondered if putting "sticky" labels on them has had an effect on "tiring" the 2200?

Once again: "No Play"

It took my 9.3/9.4 moe.downV disc 2:02 (two hours & two minutes) to quit playing.  MAM-A Silver disc with no labels.

I'm finding it to be near impossible to speak with someone (or get a response) from Denon.

Any ideas?
