Topic: v3 > p1 users. one 6volt or two?

I'll probabbly use two anyway but was just wondering if one is enough.

I use 1- 6 volt for each
and carry 2 extra if I have the room
I used 1- 12 volt {HUGE} when I ran a UA-5 
so having 4 - 6 volt batteries is really not much different 
I really would not try running both on 1 -6 volt

I've run both off of one 6 Volt before (probably a little over 3 hours max).  Of course, it was a Jerry Joseph, so I didn't care if I lost power.

I really do not care to find out how long you can run on low battery

Run two batteries.  I don't think you could get much over three hours runtime on a single battery, and you'd be risking an overdraw if you pushed it too much.  You'd just end up ruining your battery if you consistently drained it at every show, plus you'd invariably end up losing power during an imortant tape.  I always run two.

if I know the show will be under 3 hrs I run 1, but usually run 2, I have run both longer than 3 hrs before

1 run 6v12a batts and until recently ran MiniMe>DA-P1 on 1 batt for 6+ hours consistently.
I now run V3>DA-P1(same mics) and the V3 definately draws more power than the MiniMe did.

I'm now lucky to get 5 hours...I wouldnt run them both off of 1 6v7.2a for more than 3 hours or so at most.

I always run two, and I bring one extra for my V3 just in case. Sometimes I swap the cables around at set break since the V3 draws more juice than the p1.
