The "amazing Intelligent Chip"
« on: February 01, 2005, 09:31:09 AM »
Somebody recently posted this link over in the Audio Asylum...

http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina27.htm

I'm not big on tweaks, but I like to keep an open mind about them regardless.  This one has me stumped though.  Can any of you think of how this might work short of magic or wishful thinking?

"The GSIC-10 is good for 10 discs, the GSIC-30 for 30 discs. Once the Intelligent Chip has upgraded the prescribed number of discs it ceases to function and can be discarded."

hahahahaha! ;-)  Now that's funny.

I swear I should get into the tweak industry.

Going to the root of the site, they're located about 10 minutes from me in Falls Church, VA. Check out their "ultra tweeters" (GHz band ... hahahahahhahahahahaha) and "magic rings."

What absolutely kills me is that the people who push these things and "swear by them" seem to be completely unwilling to submit themselves to an ABX test to verify what they think they're hearing.
Out of the game … for now?

I usually keep an open mind about some of these tweaks but this one is a bit over the top.

I was sort of thinking the same when I read all that nonsense last night, but you never know what people will buy.
