Transfering with a UA5

Can you do transfers from a m1 with it if its modded?

i use a UA5 for transfers and the digital in works when the usb is connected to the computer, this is what is was designed to do, it was designed in the begginning for standalone use, so you should be fine, just make sure that switch is on s/pdf and your ready to transfer

FWIW the UA-5 will not do a bitperfect transfer

If you still have the 7pin>optical you could record it to the JB3 and dump it over firewire, but that may not be bit-accurate either
