Any reason my flac file would read as a winamp file?
Because Winamp is the default application associated with files having the extension
.flac. Two things may help:
<1> disable hiding extensions - depending on what Win OS you're running, some variation of:
Tools | Options | View and untick
Hide file extensions for known file types; this step isn't necessary, but will allow you to see the file extension, something I find useful.
<2> associate FLAC FrontEnd with FLAC files - again, depending on what Win OS you're running, some variation of:
Tools | Options | File Types, select
FLAC file type, hit the
Change button, and select
FLAC FrontEnd from the list (or navigate via the
Other button and select the FLAC FrontEnd EXE).
