Need a lil help

Hey guys im new to the tapeing scene and im still lookin around to but all my stuff. Im in the process of getting a Nomad 3 off ebay but i need a pre amp/gain controler anyone know of a good quality one priced around 50-150? i was looking at M-Audio Mobile Pre USB Audio Interface but im not sure if thats just for computers or not lemme know waht you guys think. thanks

you may be able to find a ua-5 on ebay near the $150 mark. what type of taping will you be doing, open or stealth? pretty sure that M-Audio device is only for computer recording.
