Recs for reasonably priced HT processor?
« on: June 21, 2006, 02:33:33 PM »
Hey all-

I've been watching more movies lately and have been kicking around the idea of building a HT setup. I was wondering if anyone might have suggestions for a reasonably priced (<$1K) HT processor/preamp that can take a DVI/HDMI signal. I am not looking for a receiver since I will be using active speakers for the rears and will be using a separate power amp to push the front 3 channels. It would be a big plus if it could do a good job decoding a two channel digital signal too (up to 24/96), for audio playback. I have been eyeing the Outlaw Audio 970 and 990, any suggestions for comparable products?

Thanks!
Ben
