Topic: Nero Problem - Won't Burn ISO to DVD

went to burn a DVD-A today using DVD-Audiofile (v.42) and Nero 6.6.14 (now upgraded to 6.6.15)

i have used both programs numerous times on the past to burn DVD-A file flawlessly until today

after I save the ISO file I open Nero Express to burn the Image File. on the Drive drop down menu (attached image #1) I have selected my E Drive with the DVD option

after I select the ISO file to burn the next step (attached image #2) no longer gives the DVD-R option under the choices for the drive.

when I try to proceed anyways with a blank DVD-R in the drive i get an error message that the wrong media is in the drive and it ejects.

only changes at all I've made lately was downloading EAC and making some adjustments to the settings through there, but I don't see why that would affect Nero

I ran the new update available for Nero 6 and it did not correct the problem.

i tried burning iso files that were small enough to fit on a CDR as well too large for a CDR thinking it would then default to DVD, but still had no luck

I have had this problem with Nero and Alcohol before.  My problem was I has some bad discs in the middle of a spindle.  The first 20 or so worked great then I got a few bad ones and then the last 15-20 or so worked great.  Try a different brand of disc or a disc from a different spindle first.  If that doesn't clear it up I would remake the ISO again.

What's the size of your iso file?  This happened to me when burning some small test dvds.   Nero apparently just assumes it's a cd image if it fits on a cd.  Whether or not that's the problem , you could try ImgBurn (free).

i had similar issues w/ nero and EZCD burning images, so i switched to imgburn which has worked great.
