new playback system
« on: March 29, 2007, 01:36:14 PM »
Just got some new toys and thought I'd share with you guys.  I just got this new system completed and set up today.  My payback system now consists of:

Almarro A205A mk.II integrated amp
Rega P3 turntable with a Rega Elys 2 cartridge
Dynavector P75 phono stage
Denon 2910 universal
Hornshoppe Horns speakers
van den Hul The Bay C5 Hybrid interconnects
Atlas Questor interconnects (on loan)
van den Hul D-352 Hybrid speaker cables

I've had the Denon and P3 for a while now but the Almarro and all cables are brand new from Eugene Hifi and the Horns and P75 phono stage are new to me from audiogon.   I'm really excited about this setup.  Its very simple and straight forward.  And so far sounds great.  I can only imagine it getting better once the components and cables get through their break in period.

Shane

listening so far today:
Its been an all vinyl affair.

A big +T on the Almarro and Horns!

I've had them since Christmas and man have I enjoyed pulling out all sorts of old music! It like hearing things for the first time.

Enjoy!!!

(I've been meaning to post pics of my new setup - while I can still call it "new" - but I'm lazy!)

Gotta love an all vinyl day, plus T for the new rig.
I know you like, tape for people's approval and stuff, and wave your tapes around like they're your dick...  but even you can't actually think section tapes from philips sound good.
