Network connection
« on: July 11, 2007, 07:32:05 AM »
I upgraded my Denon AVC A11XV to its "A" version, which can be connected to a LAN, so i connected it to my LAN in place of my squeezebox 3 and followed the instruction.
Now I can listen to the internet radio stations through the Denon dedicated web site, which means it can access the internet via my router.
However I cannot play the WAV files stored in my PC, which was my primary target for this connection.
The manual says that I have to install .NET Framework (which I did) and then Windows Media Connect.
When I tried to download WMC from Microsoft it was posted that WMC is not available as stand alone any longer but its functionalities are integrated in Windows Media Player 11, which I then downloaded and installed.
My Denon network connection is configured for automatic IP assignment (I think this is called DHPIP or something similar).
Now, WMP does not see my Denon and my Denon does not see my PC, perfect....
Any suggestion? (other than re-install Squeezebox...)

Fixed!
It was the setting of my router.

PS: now I don't need the Squeezebox any more. It works very well, but now it is redundant. It will go on Ebay soon
