JB3 > Firewire > Linux

Is anyone running something similar?

www.linux1394.org doesn't list the JB3 but i have it working fine thru the USB.

I am looking for some recomendations on a firewire card.  They got a bunch of 15 dollar cards at Fry's, will these work?

I lost my old faithful 9GB SCSI drive w/ RH8 on it  :angry3: so I'm thinkin while I am installing this shiny new   36GB SCSI drive I might add in the firewire w/ a fresh new install of fedora.

I have had it hooked up to my powerbook G3 via firewire and I don't know if I can go back to USB.

just about any firewire card will do.  don't spend more than $40.  They all have the same firmware, so one driver will work with them all.
