busted shockmount?
« on: February 14, 2004, 12:35:23 PM »
so I run AT8410's... I have one thats kinda fucked up (pardon my french!). the round part that holds the actual clip, is WAY lose where it attaches to the threaded part that you mount to the stand. I haven't had the chance to see if its screwed on or what.. but does anyone know off hand if that can be screwed tight again??? I'd assume if so, you'd have to remove the mounting part....

anyway... got another show tongiht, and don't wanna have to tape up the shock mount!!!

1) take the big screw out of the pivot point that attaches it to the threads
2) pull the screw and mount out, exposing the base of where the loose part attaches to the ring
3) in that hole, there's a tiny phillips head screw, tighten that sucka down!
4) reassemble

like kevin said, some loc-tite on that screw works wonders!

yeah I just brought it to work today, is a little screw.. which appears to be a little stripped, so I'll see if I have one that'll fit at home.. and of course thread lock... I'm going all out! haahah.

thank you brothas!

+T's all around.
