in addition to everything you get, you should also spend $12.00 on these
we all live downstream.

I don't think the UA-5 is available in the digi-mod only anymore.

FWIW, the digi-mod (no warm / presence / transparent / plus) is still listed on the Oade website as available:

Milab VM-44 Links > Fostex FR-2LE or
Naiant IPA (tinybox format) > Roland R-05

thanks again guys for all the input.  Do any of you guys have any recordings from a c4 that I might be able to listen too?

I have a few shows that were captured with 184s.  I shall have to dig them up and give a listen.  I remember not liking something about the way the recordings sounded on all the 184 sourced shows I have listened to.  It couldve been the other components in the line though as I have only gotten 184 sourced shows from 2 different tapers.

Does anyone know of any shows on the LMA that might have a c4, c1000, and a 184 sourced???  I would really like to try to compare the 3 dif. sources so I can make a better decision and it would be better to compare from the same show but if not I would like to try to get from the same venue.  I am pretty sure I have seen a few shows on the LMA with c1000s and 184s, but I have never seen c4s.  any help again is much appreciated.

thanks again guys

there are tons of shows on the LMA. search for c4

I think maybe he's asking if anyone knows of a single show sourced by all three sets of mics:  C4, KM184, and C1000.

a big thanks to all of guys that gave me some great input.

I am having a problem finding c4 recordings of familar artists.  I have found a few shows with both c1000 and the km184s.

If anyone might possibily have a show or two recorded with the c-4s, I would really appreciate if I can get a listen to a track or 2 before I decide.  I am not gonna get the 184s cuz I really would rather go cheap for now and save for a pair of 140's or 150's.  but I have heard some c1000 and I liked what I heard.

another noob question:

what is the deal with the caps on the mics?  You guys are mentioning that the c4s come with multiple caps but the c1000s dont.
I really dont understand the whole dif. between cardoid, hyper, and omni.  is there a spot in the archive page that explains this?

again thanks guys.  more info than I couldve imagined.
