A decent stealth rig for under $200, I'd say you did good! Wait till they hook you on an open taping rig. I had a budget of about $1200 and maybe went over about $300 for the odds and ends. But like they say....Welcome to your new addiction!

I think you did good.  The iriver is versatile, and is a nice low-cost wav recorder.  Chris Church really seems to stand behind his products, so you should be all set.

Hi,

Very nice deal, friend.
But please, don't mention open taping around here in Brazil. I've been stealth taping all over the place. If you do so, venue security people may start to pay atention to my odd seat choices and marble statue behaviour during the whole concert ( just kiding!!!)

I tested my gear last sunday at a music school event here in town.
The musicians are horrible as they're students, but that's not the point  ;D

I recorded 3 songs:
http://www.senditpro.com/sendfile/download.php?file=08a84df49bacbcf0217219522fbfcbd7
http://www.senditpro.com/sendfile/download.php?file=a523129cc43475f6f163f92f6d8911c0
http://www.senditpro.com/sendfile/download.php?file=cec16ff20cc23618da9217b2ee001fef

Considering it was open air, the mix wasn't good at all, I think it's decent. It was windy, the Skid Row track was recorded without the windscreens and the other 2 with the windscreens.
