i ran it once.  you have to be careful not to push it too hard(especially for rock recordings) or the loud parts will sound breathy.  I think it would be great for acoustic type music with tons of dynamic range, but might be a little over the top for rock music with smaller dynamics.

I have been running the limiter for the last 10 shows or so... no side efects that are audible.

have you noticed the LEDs blinking that show the limiter engaged?

I used the limiter for two jazz stealths. I'd use it for open-taping jazz or acoustic music where the dynamics range from silent to ear-splitting. I liked the results a lot. My only comparison is to a open taping jazz show where I did not use the limiter. It was much harder to keep something like a drum solo under control without it, that's for sure.

The more I use the 722, the more I like it.
Question.. The LED in the extreme lower right corner of the unit is not documented in my manual. I'm guessing that is the hard over indicator? But it seems like I see some activity on that led even when peak hold indicates I am not hitting 0 dB???

Lower right? That sounds like you're talking about the recording indicator - are you?
Out of the game … for now?
