i xfered a 1.85GB file, where the 722 splits at 2GB, and got 1.79 beta to0 do it in about 6mins

2.00 did it in about 6 mins too

so im sure its an improvem, ent from 1.74, but not from 1.79 beta

They said from the day they released 1.79beta that it had the 2.0 firewire speed improvements.

really? i had no clue

The download page has as a "known issue" that the take number resets to 0 on power-down.  Can you end up overwriting files with this?

Jeff

i don't know how the 722 handles files with the same name, but the only time i would see it being an issue is if you power down in between sets or acts on the same day, otherwise it would just have files of the same name in different folders

it just appends A, B, C etc to the end of the file name.  I believe Mitchell did some extensive testing of this as did I.
