Worst band ever!!!!!  I think ween might be a close second in my book.

hey now, i'm not that big of a ween fan, but they are entertaining to watch live

and who is this OAR band, my friends played the NEMO music conference and they had OAR buttons laying everywhere around the place.

most of the girls who go to DMB shows aren't old enough to need to shave...there is plenty of box at a panic show that has showered that day...can't say the same for phish.

Panic shows have much hotter women than any other show I've gone too... and they're not still in highschool and vomitting on their shoes so yeah, still better than dmb chicks
I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

put Nick stereotyping sooo much fun

only went once, fall '96 in St.Louis... Dave's voice was awful and the crowd blew.

I'll stick with the studio albums and official live releases, good stuff!

I am a DMB fan, but you've got a point about the pukers - three chicks puked themselves in front of me at MSG2 last year.

Also due to the number of females at dmb shows, you get longer lines to the ladies rooms meaning there's a better chance you see the wasted one (like wasted, stumbling drunk 16 year olds after 1 1/2 beers) going into the men's rooms because they can't wait in their own lines. This isn't a stereotype, I've seen it happen on a few occasions and each time was at a dmb show.

I know, I know.  I have seen some damn bad DMB shows too, but they are definitely outweighed by the smoking ones I have seen (reference 11/28/99 - Greensboro, with Bela Fleck basically the entire show).

Truth be told though, whenever I get out here locally to tape Particle, Umphreys, etc...I always get some jackass hippies that dont give two shits about whose space they invade, and what the impact to me, my gear or stand is...I will deal with drunk girls anyday  ;D

A live concert to me is exciting because of all the electricity that is generated in the crowd and on stage. It's my favorite part of the business, live concerts.

as for dmb...li ike them now, but not as much as during uttad/crowded streets/crash era...stopped going to shows due to amt of annoying screaming freaks attending the shows...and because of this, no real desire to see him again in concert...

just my opinion...ymmv

I know the first thing I do when I get to a show is look at the people around me and judge my entire experience on that. But that's just me.

screaming, yelling, talking, vomiting, beer spilling, peeing on the lawn... all shit I witnessed at my one and only DMB show

that's more than just "being around me"

but point taken SJ!
