24/48 SD-HC Card Capacity?
«

What is the recording capacity for SD-HC cards for 24/48?
I found a site telling me the capacity on SD cards but, it was 16/48khz and 24/96khz but, NOT for 24/48khz.
Sorry if this an old topic.
Thanks,
Richard

I was just looking at that.
I am looking for is something that shows a break down of capacity vs time.
It would show if you had an 8gb card how much time you would get on it in total if you were recording at 24/48.

NOTE: Recording times are approximations and are for a single track. Two tracks of recording reduce the total time in half, for example.

That is exactly what that Sound Devices calculator does which audBall pointed you to. Simply select the radio button for
Storage Space
and input the size of your card in GB. It is already set to 2ch/24bit/48kHz (although you can change any of those settings if you wish) and tells you the recording time available below the input area.
Remember that once formated, a 16GB card actually has ~15GB available, a 32GB card has ~30GB available.
The simple rule of thumb for 24bit/48kHz/2channel WAV files is 1 GB per hour.

Thank you for pointing this out.
