Do you think I could find spiked feet that would easily retrofit to this shelving thing?



Got it free from work, they were going to toss it.  Despite it's looks, it is very heavy duty and weighs a ton--not a consumer grade little cart here.

Bonus points if for the first to point out what is wrong with this photo (just noticed myself).

  It's a ST-140...  apparently when I rotated the image I must've made it a mirror image so everything is reversed

Most brass cones have sunk threads to accept a mounting bolt.  If your stand uses a common thread for the casters, you can probably find a double threaded piece that will mate the two.  I'd start with that: find out what threads are on the stand and then work backwards to the cone.  If you can't find what you need, you can probably get what you need fabricated for not much money.  Most mechanics have die sets and might cut you a threaded piece to order.

Or get the sockets for bed casters and thread in brass-screws, which you will, of course grind to a dullish point and put plastic tipets on.
Look for sockets and tipets in the hardware store in the same aisle as those furniture leg cups.

The dissimilar plastic/metal junctions will add to the isolation.

I will try and see if I can't do the brass screws (great idea!)....  I'll take a picture of it if it works out to post back here
