24-bit hardware for a laptop
« on: April 10, 2008, 07:49:20 PM »
I just bought my first laptop and wanted to know what you all use for a 24-bit hardware interface. I have a Core Sound s/pdif CF card but doesn't do any ADC. I was thinking of trying the SD USB-Pre that does 24-bit but I believe that it only goes to 48khz, which is not too big a deal. So what nifty 24-bit gadgets are out there that are somewhat inexpensive and work good on a laptop?

MOTU Ultralite has gotten some pretty great feedback.

the Prism Orpheus is of course amazing, but a bit spendy.

That MOTU Ultralite looks sweet! Not too much $$$ either!

Anything else in a smaller form factor?
