FLAC conversion error and question
« on: October 11, 2005, 10:56:26 AM »
guys - I DL'd the 9/15 Doodis show (taped, transfered and uploaded by my boy Bean!), and unzipped it.  I was converting from FLAC to WAV, and all the tracks work and converted except the first one - I am getting an error that reads:

doodis2005-09-15.481.d1t01.flac:  *** GOT ERROR CODE 0:FLAC_STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_LOST_SYNC

WHat does this mean?  Is there a way to fix the track without having to try to re-DL the whole show (it taked my computer FOREVER to DL shows....)

I dunno, I find the ability to download an entire show with a single mouseclick (and without needing to launch my ftp program) to be pretty convenient.

IME, the directory contains ALL the files - FLAC, OGG, MP3, ZIP, etc.  So you gotta pick specific files when downloading via FTP from LMA.  So why not just d/l a single ZIP and extract.  About the same in terms of effort, IMO - barely any!

not from the http (web) page -- further, if the ftp directory contains the flac files, the mp3 files, the ogg files, etc., there'd be a lot of stuff you'd need to de-select if you only wanted the flacs.

I agree that there's no storage advantage to zipping flacs, but it sure is more convenient to me :)

at the very worst, the first track should only be banter and tuning ;) so all of the music is there!
