Red Diag light on WRT54G Router
« on: May 30, 2006, 05:13:56 PM »
Has anyone had this problem. Linksys support was less than helpful (suprise). No wireless network and no wired connection. Can't ping 192.168.1.1 and resetting won't do anything. Plugging in a computer to the port does not make a light come on. Am I looking at a new router?

New router? Sounds like a bad one to me.  ;D

Have you tried updating/flashing the firmware? Is there a reset button on the back to fit a paper clip into to reset?

I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can
