Hi can someone tell me how to move the wave down...Does anyone know why the wave is moved up? It looks strange that it is not in the middle where Inf is.

DC Offset?  I'm guessing SF has a DC Offset fix function...but am not familiar with the app so can't point you to specifics.

Exactly what the problem is.

In SF 8 select each channel seperately and then Process > DC Offset for each channel.

What ADC did you use to make this recording?  Whichever (V3/D7/M1/MT/R-09/722/MR-1...whoa!), you may want to have your ADC checked out for DC offset and have it fixed by the manufacturer.  Probably isn't audible, but wouldn't hurt to have it fixed.

from the file name, it looks like a DSD file from the MR-1 that has been converted to PCM.
As brian said, it's possible that it's the A/D converter in the MR-1, but I would guess it's more likely a product of the DSD > PCM conversion.  in that case, it would just be a software update needed from Korg to fix that problem.

I used the MR-1 to make the recording and used the AudioGate program to convert DSD to PCM (16/44.1). And open the PCM wav file in SF8 to do all my edits.

Thanks for your replies....I will let Korg know about this.

Also sometimes my MT does this, too but not as bad. When I use my MT via the TRS 1/4" I'll see a slight up of the waves.

Yes, this is certainly DC offset, it could be the result of your recording chain, the location you were at etc.

But... AudioGate includes a function for removing DC offset, so you could have processed this in AG while still in the DSD domain as well.

Thanks Jerry, So I do not need to send it back to Korg? Some recorders don't have this problem, right? So I'm just the unlucky one having both channels with DC offset?

No, just process the file using AudioGate to remove the DC offset. It's that simple.
