Audacity 24/48 > 16/44.1 problem
« on: October 15, 2007, 12:34:10 PM »
I am trying to transfer a show I taped for a local bluegrass band and I did a 4 mic mix.

I transfered and resampled the first set no problem but for some reason the 2nd set will not go to 16/44.1.

I open the file in Audacity and set it up to save to 16bit and hit "export to wav " to save , it takes about 15 minutes and seems to save the whole file but it does not. One time it saved 23 min out of 1 hr 15min every time after that the file is empty ???  I try playing in winamp and I get the "this file contains not data chunk" message ???
   Anyone have any ideas?

do you have enough free space on the drive the file is being written to?

Yes at least 6gb's free . I thought that too and even deleted some files to make more room.
