suggestions for a BIG 9v battery solution?

Hey now folks...
i'm looking for ideas on some power sources for my FA-101.
here is the skinny.

9.6v required, .950mah (like an apogee!!)

the wallwart outputs 9.5v at 2mah.

I have an RS voltage stepper that I was going to use with a 12v 5amp SLA, but the regulator only outputs 900ma...less than 1/2 of what the wall wart outputs.  i'm still going to try it out to see if it works, but am looking ahead if it doesnt.

what I have found is a 24pack of 2000mah NiMH AA cells for $30.  I could make 3 9.6v 2000mah packs and then wire them all in parrallel for a 6amp "array", which would be plenty of juice.  Just a big pain in the ass factor.

what is the mah rating for those wallmart Li-on packs?

mAH on the walmart 9V LiIon is 5400.  This thing is great!!  Very small and lightweight, charges fast too.

that is such an awesome deal!

any way...
what I ended up doing was using parts I had on hand and making a battery that is 12v 5amp SLA and the RC voltage regulator that I mentioned.
It powers the FA-101, but I need to test it and be sure its powering it*enough*.  Im sure there is some play on the power requirements, so i'm sure it will suffice.
I hate the lead....but I hate dropping $50-60 on new batteries too.

the 24 AA solution would have worked, but its hard to create an array of packs and have all the cells dis/recharge at the same rate.  It works, but its not efficient in the long run.
I"ll probably still buy those AAs as that is a one time investment and then you never have to buy AA cells for a looooooonnnnggggg time!

i just bought that 24 pc 2250mah AA deal the other day, ill never have to buy AA's for dat recorder, cd player, digi camera, remotes, eveyrthign, and i never have to worry at a festival
