I wasn't paying attention and the two ends that go into the mic fell into my glass of coke (afterwards, thankfully).
Is there any way to properly clean them and still use the cables, or are they fucked?

open the connectors, dip/rinse in distilled water then use the contact cleaner of your choice, let dry thoroughly (the contact cleaner should disperse any water) before using

Funny enough this happened to me. When I first started taping KCmule was helping me set up and he dropped both ends of my cables into our pitcher of Beer. i took them apart and took them into the bathroom and dried them off under the hand dryer. They worked just fine once dried off.
Denatured Alcohol. Fast evaporation and no residue.

I like denatured alcohol (which is what most decent contact cleaners are) but my personal favorite electronics cleaning product is lab-grade ethanol. You need a permit to purchase it (in Michigan) but it really gets stuff clean. A soft-bristled toothbrush and a quarter cup of ethanol will clean flux/beer/soda off of pretty much anything. Just don't leave the lid off too long or you'll end up with 75% ethanol (it absorbs water out of the air).

what about 100% isopropyl alcohol? I use that to clean electrical contacts.

Back in the day, my buddy and I were running at the Greek, CA and a girl walking by with a coke that had to be close to 1/2 a gallon, stumbled and spilled the entire thing into our bag. While my friend, for some unknown reason, continued to hold the mics, I was sucking ice cubes out of the headphone jacks of a pair of D5's. It must have been a sight to behold! There was so much soda that when I ejected the cassette, I was able to flick the beverage out of it as if it were a saturated sponge. Needless to say, we didn't finish recording that show. However, the decks were saved. After letting them dry out, a slightly damp non-abrasive cloth with very little water on it was enough to clean all the necessary parts. A sparing amount of rubbing alcohol finished the job and we were rolling the next day. I had mine professionally cleaned when the tour was over anyway. All was good in the end... Sometimes the simplest and most obvious answer is the right one. Good luck, just remember to take it slow. Baby steps. Once yo go to far, it's to late.
