Hey folks,
Just figured I'd give a heads up to anyone that uses Nero for burning audio CDs. Do NOT upgrade from 6 to 7. It's absolute trash compared with 6. The first "minor" annoyance is that you can no longer seamlessly switch back and forth between the classic and eXpress views. Express used to work very well as a quick way to drop a bunch of tracks on a disc, hit the "no pregap", and then switch modes if you wanted to do anything fancy like cd audio. Now it's strictly one mode or the other for a project.
Worse still is the fact that Nero 7 seems to fight you at every turn in your attempts to burn a cd with no pregaps. You can hit "New Project", select "Gapless", and yet when you add tracks they'll all show up as having a 2 second pregap. WTF? If you hit the button again before burning, you'll still get the gaps. You have to select tracks 2-n, force 0 seconds, AND select the "no pregap" button again before burning. It makes no freakin' sense.
Since installing this piece of crap a few days ago, I've burned as many coasters as good discs. Avoid this upgrade. I only wanted it for the updated NeroVision which it turns out is STILL not able to do a lot of stuff it proclaims to do. Gotta see if I can uninstall and revert to version 6 now. I'm tired of throwing CDs across the room into the trash.
