Rationalizes;  These t00bs have rare gasses in them -- It produces frequencies that only dogs can hear


This is my favorite TV ad recently. It just cracks me up - and I'm not even sure what its about, Honda automobiles?? Its a bunch of guys rationalizing about their spending on their hobby thing.

Definitely a Jolida. Rare Chinese gas in those tubes, lol.

(I do dig the Jolida stuff though)

Don't tubes have no gasses in them, hence the vacuum in vacuum tube?

There are gas-filled tubes out there (thyratrons), but they aren't suited for audio applications; they operate as switching devices. The solid-state equivalent would be an SCR.

Looks a heck of allot like my JD-502b, but the only rare gases around here occur after dinner.

The JoLida JD-502RC is my guess, as the remote control takes away one of the three knobs and has two as shown.
