Title: 3rd Row Center Setup
Post by: cgrooves on September 02, 2005, 11:34:21 AM
I have the opportunity to tape Keller (I know, I know) soon from the third row of the center orchestra section.  Not sure if I will actually be at the centerline of the stage or not.

Anyway, I was planning of either running cards ORTF or running omnis with my J-disc.  What are your thoughts?  I love the omni sound if I can keep the chatter out, but that usually means running my stand real high.  I don't think it would be very respectful to run the J-Disc high from the 3rd row really, so do you think cards ORTF at about 7 feet is the way to go?

You may do better from further back. I don't think Keller has a lot of stage volume. All those samples need plenty of PA.
