Title: denecke ps-1 questions?
Post by: marc0789 on April 06, 2004, 10:17:56 AM
ok, I just can't afford a psp-2 or sx right now, particularly since I probably only stealth a few shows a year. Anyone know what outputs this thing has? What I'd like to do is run 4022>ps-1>line in to an m1, can I do this? Thanks, Marc.

It's mono so you'll need two. The ps-2 is better for our uses since it's stereo. It has XLR ins and outs.

thanks Matt, finally found a good pic to tell me that. It looks like the denecke has an attached cable>dual xlr, is that right? no rca or 1/8 out? wanting to run it into an m1, guess I'd need an xlr>1/8 cable. Thanks, Marc.

I used to run one into an M1. Correct on the output - dual XLRs only (on a short cable).
You know you'll need line transformers, right?
I had good results running MC012s > PS-2 > Hosa transformers > M1.
The transformers went from XLR to 1/4" mono so I had a Y adaptor with two 1/4" mono male plugs on one end and a stereo mini on the other.

I might have the set up Matt listed above for sale. I have the ps-2,Hosa mit-176 line transformers and all the adapters to bring it down to 1/8" stereo mini. PM me if your interested. I just upgraded to a UA-5 and don't really need this anymore.
