Title: Source for REAL Ultralast batteries
Post by: dlh on December 18, 2011, 08:23:15 AM

++Sorry this topic was posted elsewhere too-had it removed++
Twice I've ordered Ultralast batteries, and both sources have substituted Universals.
Where do you actually get Ultralast dvd batteries?
The good and the bad:

Looks like Wally World (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ultralast-Lithium-Ion-Universal-Portable-DVD-Player-Replacement-Battery/9863775?ci_sku=9863775&ci_src=14110944&sourceid=1500000000000003142050) lists them online.  Buy.com (http://www.buy.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=202425192&sellerid=14387982), too.

Problem is, one I bought from WallyWorld was pictured as the Ultralast, but they sent the 7.2v one in the second picture.
The lastest bait and switch battery was from Restockit (through Amazon), same scenario as WallyWorld.
Maybe I'll take my chances on ebay.  There was a long thread, humorous at times, about the Universal battery, but at least it was 9v, not 7.2.
The only piece I have that runs on 7.2v is the MiniMe; I have enough batteries for that.

So the search continues . . . . . .  :-\
