Nero 6.0 Express made tracks out of order!
« on: December 09, 2004, 05:19:41 PM »
WTF!  I set it up all right and then it scrambled the audio tracks.  What did I do wrong?  All random out of order!  Funny thing is that I burned a few discs just fine and then the final two were completely scrambled!  Express my ass!

I use the same program and I've never had any problems. Computer programs are human made though, so they are far from perfect. Here one tip I have that I always go by just to make sure nothing goes wrong. Double check your track list, settings, etc between each burn. I've save many errors from occuring by doing this. Sometimes the problems I catch are my fault, like accidentally fucking with the mouse between burns and mixing shit up. Often times it's the program. But I've had very few problems of that sort since I started using Nero 6. Is this problem continuing to occur, or has it been corected?

Okay, I set up a test burn with a CDRW.  Kept the compliation up, checked the CDRW and it is fine.  Then I burn a CDR (haven't closed the program), and it is fucked (the most random out of order you can think of, no tracks are where they should be).  I am using express b/c nero is a bitch to set up with no gaps (you have to specify each track to have no gap - NO THANKS!).  I switched back to Record Now by Veritas.  At least that program doesn't shuffle shit around when I do audio CDs.

yeah, it is weird. the first 2 or 3 cds i burned with express were fine, but every cd i attempted afterwards was all screwed up trackwise so i switched back to standard nero.

dwonk, it takes all of 2 seconds to set the gap to 0 in standard nero. just highlite all but the first track, right click>properties, set gap to 0.
done.

never used recordnow, but i really dislike veritas backup software(server backups...)
have you tried feurio?

Why not just use BurnAtOnce?  Seems like at least a few people use it and like it.  And it's free.

Have had this Nero problem,if you lasso the songs and drag/drop to express it seems to matter whethr you began the lasso move from above the track1,top left,or from another position,I found that if instead, you drag the folder and drop it-stuff comes out in sequence-try dragging the folder-not its contents-
