AC3 > WAV conversion
« on: December 26, 2005, 09:41:19 PM »

i recently ripped a DVD to my hard drive to transfer the audio to a cd.  i used DVD decrypter to rip, and then took the AC3 files and converted them to WAV using Headac3he.  The sound isnt what i expected.  anyone have recommendations for other software to use for converting to wav?

thanks

i often use a piece of freeware called PX3. it's pretty simple to use, works quickly, and does a decent job... it even has a "normalize" function for decoding AC3 > WAV, and you get to set the sample rate of the WAV file that it writes.
