Subwoofer carpet spikes
« on: December 29, 2019, 01:28:29 PM »
Anyone have a good source for these? I need 4 fairly large spikes with 1/4-20 thread. At least 2 inches tall with similar diameter at the base. Preferably brass. Can’t seem to find anything.

Go to Amazon.com
Search " Speaker Spikes "

Parts Express

Parts Express is probably the best prices.
I prefer isolation, using 5 to 7 different density materials in layered cubes
Foam, wood, styrofoam, felt, etc. like a sandwich glued so each layer isolates a different frequency band

Found some on eBay. thanks. There were plenty of choices on amazon, but none that fit my requirements. Parts Express had a ton of choices, but still couldn’t find anything with 1/4-20. It was all metric. I really didn’t feel like re tapping a brand new sub. 😜

I also found these two websites:

http://www.adonacorporation.com/tweaks.html

Both expensive and neither answered phone calls or emails.

This thing works for sub isolation.  I live in an apartment and it really works.  Also helps to protect the floors.
