Run a 3 hour if you can.  Usually one long set just over 2 hours and then a 20 minute encore.

have fun!

Unless you like excitement in the form of a tape swap/stress from running out of tape, I would advise a 3 hour.  After 4 consecutive shows with tape issues, I finally started running 3 hour tapes.

And I'm pretty sure I've still gotten a cut/swap running a 90 for DBT!  Looks like the shows keep getting a little longer. . .

Just make sure that you don't pull a "Boswell" and think your running a 90m until your tape cuts at 2 hours ;)  Luckily we had two decks running off the V3 to fix in the post . . .

Good thing it isn't game day next time they play the Theater, hugh William?

the blew through the 3 hr mark in richmond, stressful tape flip (wish my jb3 had been running, or arrived!)  only a few seconds with a flip, but it takes away from the tape's perfection.

ran the mk21 > vms02ib > ad1000 (hanging from balcony 5' above folks heads), if anyone is interested drop me an email, i can send it your way (uploads)

I ran a 90 2/6, band went off at 2:00, came back and played till 2:56 or so on the tape, mild stress. Next night ran till 2:04, I swapped a freshie just in case in one of the decks. Played till 2:56 again, but I'm told they blow through the 3 hour mark routinely. Interestingly, the light guy asked me about running 120 meter tape, and was not aware of the potential (certainty) of problems. I supplied a box of 90's because they were running out.
