Vista not recognizing rockboxed Sansa exxx?
« on: August 09, 2009, 04:21:52 PM »
Hi y'all!

I just tried plugging my Sansa e250 (v1) into my laptop, which runs Vista.  I'm posting this here becuase 1. I occasionally use it as an emergency recording device and 2. You guys know just about everything here to know about Rockbox-ed devices ;D

The computer shows that there's a rockbox-ed media device, but instead of displaying it as an external hard drive as it does in XP is demanding a driver.... which of course I don't have.

I checked at rockbox.org, searched in here and gogoled but couldn't find any info, although I suspect it's out there somewhere!

What's the best step to take?  Point me to any links/wikis or whatever if I've missed something in my searches, and thanks in advance for any ideas!

Duh... I should have thought of that..... ::)  :hmmm:

In the meantime I came up with a workaround by booting it in the native OS, which was recognized correctly, so that solved the immediate glitch.

Thanks for the reply!  :coolguy:
