Hi everybody,
I have a question regarding the Line Audio OM1 (Omnis) mic´s...which batterybox/preamp would work best with them?
http://www.lineaudio.se/OM1.html
Many thanks in advance

you'd need a phantom power supply or a preamp with phantom power. Thousands of options.

Here's a good option!

I run mine into an Apogee Mini-MP preamp. I have an extra Apogee if you want it... $300.
Also, be aware the OM1 can put out a high signal for loud, bass-heavy music, so make sure your preamp can handle it otherwise invest in a few attenuators. For example, I need to use attenuators to run OM1's direct into a Tascam DR70D.

Thank you for the reply...I will think about it and compare...

There's a good chance you can plug them straight into the R-26

Thanks for the advice...how about a Zoom H1n?
Can I plug them directly into it?

No. You'd need a device that has balanced connections and provides 48v phantom power. Usually it's xlrs, but occasionally it'll be mini xlrs or other connectors. The zoom f3 and R4 will both support that, as will the Nagra VII, for different ends of the spectrum.

I run my Line Audio Line CM3 into a Denecke PS-2 (w/3,5mm output cable) into a Sony PCM A10.
Battery power is somewhat between 3h - 4hours.

Ok, I see...thank you.

Thank you for the reply...a couple of questions:
Is it true that the Denecke PS-2 unit operates off of a single 9V battery?
How about clipping...? Any advice?
-
Yes, the Denecke PS-2 runs off a single 9V.
If you're interested I have an unused PS-2, cheap, located in Sweden.
