Title: optical output ?'s
Post by: caymanreview on May 05, 2004, 03:57:13 AM
so, i have my new firewire 410 up and running smooth

it has optical in/out on it

if i am running 24/96 to my laptop via firewire, im assuming that the optical out would be 24/96 also, so what would happen when say, trying to give a patch to a md/jb3? would they just truncate the extra data? or would they be able to patch at all out of my optical out?

Thanks ;)
Dustin

thats what i was thinking, but wasnt positive

im not sure how the 410 works, i can just change my sample rate from anything from 16/44.1 to 24/96 in my recording app, and not change anything on the actual unit, just wondering what everyone thought

no dat or md for me, strictly laptop taping here

but i do have enough analog outs for every patcher in the place :)
