How tightly is the power jack suposed to fit on the mini-me? I am using the one supplied by eco-charge....is that lock down screw next to it supposed to help make the connection a little more solid?

yes. it shouldn't have much play in it, but it isn't real tight unless you use the lock down.

How do you use that lock down? Seems to small to lock on the connecter, and the wire can slide through it...

wasn't there a fire b/c of a power jack didn't fit properly? I would hack a wall wort

i'm going to mod a AD500 to get rid of the long ass 15pin assembly. install a Switchcraft locking jack (similiar to the V3) and move the s/pdif out to one of the BNC word clock in's position.
add that with a RA locking power plug (Switchcraft), i'm sure you can shave off a good 3.5" in the overall length of the unit.
ahhh... another project to feed the hobby madness :)

I'm a little late on noticing this one, but I've been running my MiniMe for about 2 years and have never had a problem with the Radio Shack adaptaplug as the jack connector. I believe it is a "C", but I'm running from memory on this one.
