Title: 12v power options for FR2-LE
Post by: Lonman on October 21, 2010, 06:48:40 PM
Most use a 7.2v rc battery but Doug Oade said a a 12v supply is out there just have to make sure center pin is +. Can anyone steer me to powering a FR2-LE that limits messing with the funky battery tray and enough power for festivals as well? Does the 7.2v batteries allow for max phantom power availability?
Thanks for any leads.
Lon

do you have an fr2le?
i ask because the battery tray i wouldn't consider funky
you take off the cover and the battery will fall right out due to its weight press the button and the cables come right apart
it does take a few sec to put the new battery in but with that said if i was running an external battery it wouldn't be inside so you could always just leave the battery sitting out if time was a real pinch

yes 7.2 gives you full 48v power

i have a 3300 and it will run 48v for approx 6 hrs
